This Eastlake-style slide latch is an elegant addition to both antique and new cupboard, cabinet and furniture doors. Reproduced from a circa 1880's original, its design and ornate pattern is captured in solid, cast brass. Suited for Victorian or Classical interiors and can be used on right and left hand doors. Being made of solid brass this latch can be used outdoors, boats, marine or any other nautical use. Dimensions. Latch: 1 1/2" High x 2 1/8" Wide. Catch: 1 1/2" High x 1" Wide. Comes with 6 solid brass slotted oval head finishing screws. (Cast is a where molten/melted brass, steel, iron and other metals are poured and formed in molds usually made of sand resulting in a higher quality product.)
